Events Simplified was invited to sample the delights of Leeming House recently – it’s warm welcome and classic Georgian design, sitting in 22 acres of grassland and woods beside tranquil Ullswater in the Lake District.

 

Amazingly dog friendly, the garden rooms have French doors that open up onto the gardens and your well-behaved furry friends are very welcome to be off lead around the grounds. There is even a separate dog-friendly restaurant next to the main restaurant so you don’t feel like you’re missing the atmosphere. Our pooch joined us in his basket and slept beside the dinner table, while we looked out over amazing views of the sun setting over the lake. So relaxing!

 

With its 46 rooms, it makes Leeming House a great size for a complete buy-out for a wedding, corporate or wellbeing retreat or UK-based incentive venue. Its meeting rooms are non-corporate in their feel…well you’d expect so from an amazing building that’s over 200 years old.

 

Breakfast is a real treat, and the black pudding is worth writing home about, the best we’ve ever tasted for sure.

 

All the bedrooms are beautifully furnished, and the accessible bedrooms are equally stylish and comfortable with extra accessible features such as handrails in the bath and alarm facilities linked to the hotel reception to give you complete peace of mind and reassurance during your stay.
